Playing ball

Throwing the ball with grandpa. I love this!

I caught the rock in mid air

Now grandpa gets to show Ethan how to play basketball.

Grandme making a cake with Ethan on hand. These pictures uploaded in reverse order so start from the bottom.

Ethan feeding Oscar. Much to my dismay.

All over his face.

Pulling chucks off the cake before it is frosted. My mom would never let us do this....Grandkids have all the fun.

Up on the stool.

This was so cute. We got to grandma and grandpa's (Ethan calls him Papa) house and Ethan decided to eat the cake while grandma made it. Ethan got to have a fun bonding time with grandpa throwing everything. It was so cute to watch. Happy Birthday Chuck!!

Vegas with Baby

So we had to do our Vegas trip to the "Landscape Convention" and really the fun part was seeing my friend Shannon and going to "FAO Fun Factory"

The trip was going to include my girl friends because all I really wanted to do when I thought about this trip was.... Lay by the pool, Shop, & Eat

Yeah that is about all I really wanted to do. And lo and behold I got to do all those things. Just with the family instead.

It was fun visiting with new mommy Shannon. We went to a splash park. I had never been to one before and Ethan was not to sure about the water but he loved watching Claire.

This one is me holding little Miles. He is so cute. I can't believe Ethan was that small once. Look at them side by side...How adorable.
Next we went to FAO in Caesar's. It was so fun. We took pictures of Ethan by as many stuffed animals as we could. He is such a champ. I had a caption for all the pictures but I thought it might be more fun if you make up your own. Have fun!!!

That's my boy, hanging out with all the animals!

This one is for you Shannon!!!

Ethan playing in the flowers.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! It was my official day. For the first time I got to really partake in Mothers Day. I can't wait until Ethan is older and he makes me little pictures and Rick and Ethan go out to pick mommy pretty flowers...oh so cute!!! This year was still a blast and I stole lots of kisses from my boy. I love being a mom!!!

Mommy Group

Last Wednesday I hosted a mommy group at my house. It was great having all the little kids over for a couple hours. I realized my son has plenty of toys when eight children comfortably played down stairs for hours. All the toddlers showed me all the things around my house I am going to have to baby proof in the near future when Ethan starts exploring more. It was a great time of talking and sharing for the moms. We even did our first devotional together which was just so sweet. Good times at the Armet home.
FUN TIMES AT EASTER:

THE ADULTS HUNTING FOR EGGS

Ethan Eating The Eggs

GRANDMA AND ETHAN

ETHAN PUTTING EVERYTHING IN HIS MOUTH!! OH AND GRANDPA GOT HIM A NEW BASKETBALL HOOP!! ALREADY!!!

Easter... a Day to Celebrate our risen Lord!! It was a wonderful day. We went to the church I grew up in, Green Valley Community Church in Placerville. Then the whole family caravan to my moms house for delicious food and plenty of eggs. The weather was beautiful and our little Ethan was passed around to all the Aunts, Grandparents, cousins, and Uncles. We loved Ethan's fishing/old man hat!

Our Belly Shots

This is as close to a "dip" as we could get!

Oh the belly.

The Sunflower!

I had seen a few people do this and I thought it was cute.

OK, I know Ethan is now almost 8 months old, but towards the end of the pregnancy you are not thinking about getting your belly shots from the photographer, you are preparing for the baby. Just the other day I met up with Rhonda, our awesome photographer, to pick up the CD of our beautiful pictures. I am so blessed to have pictures to document the most precious time in a woman's life...pregnancy. Through the nausea, and sickness, I truly loved carrying Ethan.

These belly shots were taken in El Dorado Hills the day of my baby shower up north. It was such a beautiful day. There are many, many more pictures, I just posted a variety to give you an idea.

I love how Rhonda played around with the colors. I loved the sunflower. Before we got our pictures taken that day we went to this new shopping center in El Dorado Hills. They were having a farmers market and I saw the sunflower and wanted to incorporate it into the shoot some how. Sunflowers now remind me of my little boy.

Ethan Eating

No Mommy don't make me eat!!!
This is Ethan's bowl

He will smile, even though he doesn't eat!

I love this monkey bib. OK so we went a little crazy with the monkey theme but it is everywhere. It almost looks like he is getting a hair cut. But no, Ethan will not need a hair cut for a long time.

Taping Ethan's first bites. Good Uncle Christopher.

Everyone is gathered around. We all wanted to see if "big boy" would like his rice cereal.

First Bite

Oh no, he was not a big fan of the rice cereal.

He is looking good!!
When are you supposed to start your child on solid foods??? Everyone had a different answer. We started Ethan when he was sitting up, he acted interested in food and he was about 5 months old. He is now 6 1/2 months and we are still trying to get him to eat. He literally gags himself when he eats. At this point we have tried rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots, apple sauce, water. I have tried different combinations with these ingredients. Like, breast milk and oatmeal, rice cereal and apples. No he pretty much hates food. I know this will change and I am definitely not worried about my little guy gaining weight. He is just fine. I am jealous of all those children who love food. Oh well, I know Ethan's "solids" days will come. Oh and did I mention he hates his vitamins too.... :) The joys of parenting.
